ISAPS Endorsed | Cadaver Surgery Demonstration & Lectures
The Smart Minimally Invasive High-Tech Body Contouring Workshop 2024, endorsed by ISAPS and held in collaboration with RAMSES (Robotic Assisted Microsurgical & Endoscopic Society), took place on 7 November 2024 in Singapore.
This one-day workshop provided hands-on training and discussions on specialised techniques in minimally invasive, endoscopic, and robotic-assisted body contouring.
Participants explored the latest developments in liposculpture, rectus diastasis repair, and skin tightening technologies, with a focus on achieving functional and aesthetic improvements.
Workshop Highlights
Live Cadaver Surgery Demonstration
A three-hour session featuring hands-on surgical demonstrations covered:
- Endoscopic-assisted breast augmentation and reduction techniques.
- High-definition liposculpture for enhanced body definition.
- Ultrasound-guided fat grafting to the rectus abdominis muscle.
- Robotic and endoscopic rectus diastasis repair using rectus plication.
- Advanced skin tightening technologies: Renuvion, Morpheus, Onestep, and Angoplasma.
- Rib reshaping techniques for improved body contour.
- Endoscopic-assisted gluteal augmentation.
Lectures: Advances in Body Contouring & Liposculpture
Theoretical sessions explored:
- Liposculpture techniques, from traditional methods to high-definition approaches.
- Standing liposculpture and its applications in body sculpting.
- Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL): Volume enhancement and contouring strategies.
- Comparison of liposuction technologies: Traditional, Vibro, Vaser, and Laser.
- Ultrasound-guided muscle fat grafting and its role in body contouring.
- Skin tightening devices and the considerations of combining energy-based treatments.
Surgical Techniques in Abdominal & Breast Surgery
- Rectus diastasis: prevalence, functional impact, and cosmetic considerations.
- Minimally invasive lipo-abdominoplasty using robotic and endoscopic methods.
- The Da Vinci robotic system in body contouring.
- Laparoscopic intra-abdominal rectus plication.
- Robotic nipple-sparing mastectomy and breast reconstruction.
- Rib reshaping techniques and their role in body contouring.
Panel Discussion
The event concluded with a panel discussion, where leading specialists shared their experience in minimally invasive high-tech body contouring, discussing its impact on their surgical practice and patient outcomes.
