1st Asia-Pacific International Workshop on Rectus Diastasis – The Abdominal Core Health & 2nd Abdominal Wall Robotic Workshop
The 2nd Abdominal Wall Robotic Workshop, held on 17th October 2019 at the Advanced Surgery Training Centre, NUHS, was conducted in collaboration with the 1st Asia-Pacific International Workshop on Rectus Diastasis – The Abdominal Core Health. The event included onsite and international participants, with remote speakers joining via teleconference.
Building on the 2018 workshop, this event explored the anatomy, function, and surgical treatment of the abdominal wall and core muscles. Topics covered included endoscopic and robotic-assisted repair of rectus diastasis and ventral hernias, with and without mesh.
A round-table discussion focused on liposuction and dermolipectomy in rectus plication, as well as methods to reduce complications such as skin necrosis and seroma.
